ON THE HOME FRONT Posted: August 10, 2007 © 2007 WorldNetDaily.com An artist and jewelry designer who
over the years has created designs "that promote God's Kingdom" has
announced a national plan to financially assist the children and families of
soldiers who gave their lives in the line of duty.
Michael Letney of Tulsa, Okla., has
created a special framed sculpture coin bearing the image of a helmet, rifle
and boot that has become the symbol of the fallen soldier in the war on terror.
"Americans, whether they agree
with the war or not, love their soldiers," said Letney, founder of the
group "Sacrifice
for Freedom." "As an artist, I wanted to
give something back to those who gave their lives for our freedom. That's why I
designed these memorials of gratitude for the families of those who served with
such valor." The memorial will be sent to donors
of $100, as well as to the families of America's fallen soldiers. Letney proclaims on his site:
"We are not building a memorial to put in a park. We have built a memorial
that can go into the living room of the family of every fallen soldier so that
we can show them that we appreciate the sacrifice that they have made for us
and for our country." + + + + + |
